Common Signs of a Plantar Wart

Plantar warts can often be mistaken for calluses or other skin conditions. You may have a plantar wart if you notice:

  • A rough, grainy growth on the bottom of your foot
  • Pain or tenderness when walking or standing
  • Tiny black dots within the lesion (clotted blood vessels)
  • Thickened skin developing over the wart
  • Multiple warts clustered together in one area

Because plantar warts develop inward due to pressure from walking, they can become increasingly uncomfortable over time.
